Outer Banks Wild Horses
A gallery of fine art photo prints of the herd of wild horses that roam free in the four-wheel drive area on the northern Outer Banks beaches. According to a survey by helicopter, taken every fall, there are approximately 100 horses in this herd. They are descendants of Spanish mustangs brought to the New World by Spanish explorers over 500 years ago.
